Far down, at the bottom of the seven seas, is an unknown and mysterious world. Amazing creatures and growths live in the impassable canyons of darkness. We are strangers here – we meet secrets of the deep. A world of beauty in the ocean.
On Friday, June 12th 2020, there will be an opening ceremony for the special exhibition, “Jewels of the Sea”, at the research and disseminations center at Fjord & Bælt in Kerteminde. There is a total of 40 jewellery designers, goldsmiths and silversmiths, each of whom have created a piece inspired by the mysterious world of the sea. The materials in particular have been the focus of this exhibition as they have to be picked up from the great blue sea. Amber, pearls and corals are all created by natural processes, which makes each material something special.
We are taking extra precautions due to the Covid 19 outbreak, thus there will be a limited number of seats on June 12th, fortunately the exhibition can be visited until December 30th 2020.
